WHAT IS CBD?

What is it and does it really work?

CBD oil is a concentrated extract from the Cannabis Sativa plant which can be ingested or inhaled by vaping.

CBD Oil has many benefits like pain and inflammation reduction and encourages a sense of well-being and calmness. Many people report a boost in mental alertness and cognitive function. It also acts as an antioxidant and anti-cancer solution to preserve vitality and health. It also has been known to reduce blood sugar levels, risk of arterial blockages, and vomiting and nausea.

CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is a major cannabinoid found in cannabis. CBD is absorbed naturally by the body’s endocannabinoid system which may help with things like pain and stress management, hormone regulation, immune function, and sleep.

Cannabinoids occur naturally in the body, so CBD oil has been known to be quite effective in dealing with several ailments and illnesses because the body naturally attracts and accepts them. CBD derived from industrial hemp carries many of the same positive effects of marijuana but is not psychoactive, so users will not feel the “high”.

Why Is Whole-Plant or Full Spectrum Hemp Oil Important?

It is believed by the scientific community that whole-plant or full spectrum CBD hemp oil (rather than CBD isolate) is more beneficial for the body. By retaining as much of the plant’s life force as possible it allows for a wider range of cannabinoids and terpenes and is more beneficial for the body as it creates a collaboration that works in conjunction with our body’s own endocannabinoid system. This works to do several things such as affect multiple areas in the body, improve absorption, overcome defense mechanisms that may inhibit absorption and minimize unwanted side effects. This effect is called the “entourage effect.”
